ADHD is a faster growing childhood disorder with inattentiveness, over-activity, impulsivity or a combination. 10 times more boys than girls are diagnosed with ADD (Attentive Deficit Disorder). Although primarily thought of a childhood disorders, it can be found in adults.
Possible signs and symptoms
fails to give closes attention to details, difficult in solving problem or managing time.
extreme distractibility does not seem to listen when spoken to directly.
difficulty organizing tasks and activities.
difficulty sustaining attention in tasks or play.
Possible causes
Affects school performance and interpersonal relationships. Parents and family members of children with ADHD are often exhausted and frustrated.
Factors that may linked to ADHD include heredity, anxiety, allergies, smoking during pregnancy, hyperinsulinemia, oxygen deprivation at birth, environmental stress or pollutants, artificial food additives, injury, lead poisoning or prenatal trauma.
